Chang Soon You

Profile

With a Diploma in Accounting, Soon You registered with HELP CAT to complete Year 2 and 3 of the Anglia Ruskin University BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme. He graduated with a 1st Class Honours in 2018.

He gained invaluable industry exposure during a 6-month internship with a professional firm specializing in audit, tax, secretarial and accounting. For his academic excellence, leadership quality and voluntary services, Soon You won the Datin Chan-Low Kam Yoke Award for being the most outstanding graduate at HELP CAT’s Convocation in June 2019. He is in his final semester (July to December 2019) of his ACCA studies with the HELP CAT ACCA Learning Provider Centre to complete his examinations for his ACCA professional qualification.

Soon You believes that one should have a clear aim or plan for the future, and that the right learning is more important than unfocused studying.

Lim Yee Wen

Profile

With a Diploma in Accounting, Yee Wen registered with HELP CAT for Year 2 and 3 of the Anglia Ruskin University BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance programme. Her efforts were rewarded with strong academic results and she graduated with a 1st Class Honours in 2018.

Yee Wen benefitted from industry exposure during her internship in 2018, as an industrial trainee in taxation services, with People Advisory Services at Ernst & Young Tax Consultants. She is progressing in her pursuit of the ACCA examinations and registered with the HELP CAT Learning Provider Centre for the July to December 2019 preparatory session for the examination for one paper and scheduled to complete another two more papers to complete the examinations in 2020, enroute to qualifying as a professional accountant in the near future.

On her experience with the UK Anglia Ruskin programme, Yee Wen said that, besides the benefit of international exposure from her travel to, and stay in, England as part of the HELP-ARU BSc final year graduation requirement, the BSc is a very worthy learning programme.
