“”The UoL degree was rigorous and challenging. My lecturers always said that our degree would help in our working life. I never quite believed them but on hindsight, they were right. I had to learn how to organise my studies. This has helped me tremendously in my working life. When you start working, you have to learn on your own sometimes and thus, manage yourself. Since I learnt how to manage my own studies, applying this to work wasn’t hard. It also teaches me to handle stress so much better.

“Due to the comprehensive nature of the course, completing the UoL degree has taught me to always question. Through questioning, I was driven by the urge to find out more by doing a lot of in-depth research voluntarily in order to understand a topic better instead of simply memorizing. This has helped built my research and reasoning skills at work and also form my individuality in life because I do not settle for an answer without justification.”

“My journey through the UoL international program was not an easy one but I would say it was definitely worth all the sweat and tears!

The syllabus of the course is so wide that I have to do extensive research and studies besides just attending lectures in order to gain thorough understanding of certain topics.

This unknowingly has sharpened my analytical skills and hence equipped me for my current studies – Master of Data Science, which is a highly analytical discipline.”
